The Founding Anniversary of Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology, located in Banshgari, Bhairab, was celebrated today (September 16, 2026) in a festive atmosphere with a variety of programs and activities.

The day’s program began with the hoisting of the national flag on the university campus. This was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony attended by students, faculty members, officers, and staff of the university, along with the Principal and teachers of Zillur Rahman Premier Bank School and College and other well-wishers. A colorful rally was then held under the leadership of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Acting), with the participation of faculty members, officers, staff, students, and guests. To make the anniversary celebration more vibrant and enjoyable, a variety of fun indoor games were organized at the university’s main auditorium for members of the university community.

Following the competitions, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Acting) presented prizes to the winners. On the occasion, he expressed his hope that Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology would emerge as an important milestone in the expansion of higher education. He also expressed his expectation that, alongside developing their academic and professional competencies, the university’s students would make equal progress in sports, cultural activities, and social engagement. The program was attended by the Registrar (Acting), Deans and Chairpersons of various departments, faculty members, officers, staff, and students of the university.

The day’s program concluded with an invitation to everyone to participate in the “Kite Flying Festival,” scheduled to be held on the afternoon of September 18 at the university’s Kashful Field, and to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature as part of the anniversary celebration.
