A prayer and milad mahfil was held on October 28, 2025 (Tuesday) to mark the death anniversary of Alhaj A.K.M. Zillur Rahman, father of freedom fighter Dr. H. B. M. Iqbal, founder of Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology located in Bhairab, Kishoreganj.

The Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of the university, Professor Dr. Mohammad Azizul Hoque, was present as the chief guest at the mahfil. In a brief discussion, he emphasized the responsibilities and duties of children towards their parents and prayed for the peace and eternal rest of the deceased’s soul.

The University Registrar (Acting) Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Deans of all faculties, teachers, officials, employees and students were present at the prayer meeting.

The prayer meeting was conducted by the Chairman of the Department of Food and Nutrition Science Mr. Abdullah As Saad, and the entire program was moderated by the Chairman of the Department of Business Administration, Mr. Md. Abdur Rashid.
