Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology has proudly celebrated a remarkable achievement as two Student Quality Control Circle (SQCC) teams from its Department of Pharmacy secured the Gold Award and Silver Award at the 15th National Annual Quality Convention on Education (15NAQCE), organized by the Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) on 14 November 2025.

In honor of this national success, a special reception ceremony was organized today at the universityโ€™s Digital Conference Room. All members of the award-winning teams were formally felicitated for their outstanding performance.

The event was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor (Acting), Professor Dr. Muhammad Azizul Hoque, as the Chief Guest. University Registrar Md. Zakir Hossain attended as the Special Guest. The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. A F M Nazmus Sadat, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Director of IQAC, DMB University.

During the ceremony, the members of both SQCC teams shared their experiences, learnings, and the journey behind winning national recognition. Faculty deans, department chairmen, teachers, students, administrative personnel, and other staff were present to congratulate and encourage the teams.

Achievements at 15NAQCE

This yearโ€™s 15NAQCE was convened by Prof. Dr. A F M Nazmus Sadat, who also delivered the keynote paper titled โ€œSustainability Through a Quality Culture in Education: A Framework for Institutional Resilience and Enduring Relevance.โ€
Additionally, Ms. Afroza Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, presented a technical paper titled โ€œMaking Every Student a Quality Auditor for Institutional Longevityโ€ and served as a judge in the panel discussion segment.

Award-Winning Teams:

Pharma Quality Circle (PQC) โ€“ Gold Award
Presented the case study: โ€œArranging a Successful Health Camp at Bhairab Boishakhi Mela.โ€

MUST Cultural Quality Circle โ€“ Silver Award
Presented the case study: โ€œArranging an Educational Study Tour to the Srimangal Tea Garden.โ€

The two teams were facilitated by Ms. Afroza Sultana and Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman, while Prof. Dr. A F M Nazmus Sadat served as the coordinator for both teams.

This achievement not only highlights the commitment of the Department of Pharmacy towards quality enhancement but also strengthens the universityโ€™s position in promoting a culture of excellence through active student engagement.

The event concluded with high spirits and renewed motivation for future national and international participation in quality conventions.
